Paul....I am so very sorry to hear of Cynthia's passing........a beautiful childhood schoolmate and friend. Cynthia, Peggy Von Behren and I started kindergarten together, and were together in the same grade until high School graduation in 1956 (including our 6 week special program at Johns Hopkins one summer)! My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and all the family. RIP, my dear one...you will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known you. Love, Jeannie (Bowen) Rose

The picture below was taken of Peggy (middle), me (left) and Cynthia at our 50th Eastern High School reunion in 2006.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Cynthia. We were good friends when we were growing up as teenagers in Hamilton and she was always very sweet and very nice. However we've lost contact through the years but I always considered her my friend. Also her brother Denny was very good friends with my brother Jimmy DeSantis. May God bless her and made her soul rest in peace

Cynthia was a much loved dear friend. We met in the 7th grade at HJS, and became part of a group of 4. In my teens I loved spending time at her house. Her family was such a loving group and I always felt welcome. In recent years we exchanged birthday and Christmas gifts, always including a Panera card so we could go out to lunches together. She struggled so hard with her declining health in the past year. I pray that’s she’s comfortable and happy in heaven with her dear brother and other loved ones. I will always miss her. Phyllis

Aunt Cynthia you were such a large part of my life and I will miss you dearly. So many of my childhood memories are filled with time spent with you baking chocolate chip cookies, spending the night in “the purple room” or on the pull out in the living room, playing in the sprinkler, taking walks to pick flowers, the carrot salad you made for all get togethers because I said I liked it once, playing bocce ball and lawn darts in your back yard or at the campsite you and Uncle Paul had your camper at, feeling special when you let me ring the dinner bell, and so much more. My adult memories with you are just as plentiful and I will cherish them forever especially the ones with my children!! Thank you for being the picture lady and capturing all our memories on film for us to enjoy forever. I Love you and will miss you but know you are in a better place. Please give my dad a hug for me!!

Cynthia will be remembered for her kindness. She had the sweetest smile and was the perfect fit in the huge Lee - Geckle clan. My heart goes out to Paul and this wonderful family.

Cynthia was a best friend of my parents, Mike & Judy Phelps. She and Paul spent lots of time together over many years and it was never a dull moment when the 4 of them got together. Lots of laughs were had. And even though I lost my parents 10 & 7 years ago, Cynthia never lost touch with me and I so appreciated her always thinking of me. She was such a sweet, special, and thoughtful lady! I am so glad that I got to see both her and Paul when I brought my kids to Maryland a couple of years ago. I know she and my parents are together again laughing and watching over Paul and my family. I will miss her very much! I will keep Paul and her family in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Cynthia! XO
