

Glen Arm, Maryland – Gloria Delcher, 91, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025. Born on March 9, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland, to William and Marie Fahey, Gloria lived a vibrant and fulfilling life defined by her devotion to family, creativity, and service to her community.
Gloria was married to her beloved husband, William J. Delcher III, for more than 70 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they raised four children: William D. Delcher, Nina Evans (George), Shawn Delcher (Marilyn), and Robin Kirkey (Tim). Gloria’s legacy continues through her nine grandchildren—Billy Delcher, Erin Evans, Shawna Adamski, Nick Delcher, Emily Evans, Ryan Delcher, Kalleigh Moxey, Justin Delcher, and Lexi Todd—and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
A woman of many talents, Gloria filled her home with music through her love of playing the organ. Her creative spirit shone in her hobbies of crafting porcelain dolls and crocheting, creating cherished keepsakes for her family. Known for her warmth and generosity, Gloria’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, weaving a tapestry of love and memories that will endure for generations.
For over 20 years, Gloria was a dedicated volunteer at the Long Green Volunteer Fire Department in Glen Arm, where her commitment and kindness left a lasting impact on the community.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Fahey; her brother, William Fahey; and her granddaughter, Emily Evans. She is survived by her husband, her four children, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who will remember her loving and kind heart.
