Joseph Edward Stepalovitch, age 78, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on June 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Eileen Stepalovitch (nee Fisher); cherished father of Tanya Lynn Stepalovitch; loving grandfather of Brandon Townsend and his wife Stefany; cherished great-grandfather of Athena Townsend; dear brother of the late David Stepalovitch, and the late Linda Mueller and her late husband Lawrence. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Joseph served in the United States Army. After his service, he worked as a Police Officer, for twenty-five years, for the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail Road, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s name to the American Legion Post 17 at www.mdlegionpost17.org
