Karen never stopped, even in the midst of pain and illness. She was an incredible example of a Catholic Christian for our young people - a person who was there for anyone who might need her.  Obviously, she and Ray did an amazing job raising their three beautiful children.  Nothing could have made Karen prouder than to watch Katelyn, Jessica, and Josh as they honored their mother and took care of their father.  God bless the Barley family.

I knew Karen from the Parent Alliance at John Carroll.  I have met Josh several times when I've worked in the school store and my daughters know Katelyn and Jessica.  You have our deepest sympathy and are all in our prayers at this sad time.  Wish there was more I could say or do.  It is always so difficult for those left behind but God will give you the strength you need.  God Bless.

We wanted you to know that your Mom/Wife was a very special gal.  She did many wonderful things for people. I especially appreciated that she gave Trent transportation to and from volleyball practice during a tough time for our family. Your Mom will be missed by many people but we know she is with God. Karen was an amazing Mother, wife and volunteer.  I loved it when Karen would tell the teens the TRUTH, not sugar coated.

Karen was an inspiriation, friend and collegue.  She was always available to lend a helping hand (or 2), tackle a new challange or brighten a day. She gave her best every day with a smile.  She rarely complained and appreciated her family's and friends efforts all the time.  She often stated how blessed she was to have such wonderful children, husband, parents and friends.  I am thankful to have had her in my life even if it was for too short a time and miss her very much.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Karen was a dear friend who ended up to being my sister.  I am thankful for having had her as a part of my life. We had many funtimes and she was so full of life and love.  We will miss her but she will always be with us. We will always be a part of your lives Katelyn, Jessi, Josh and Ray.  We love you

My deepest condolences on the passing of your Wife, Mother, and Loved One.  I've known Karen since I was a child, growing-up on Sylvanhurst, and had the pleasure of seeing her from time-to-time, including a few months ago at Kay's Memorial service.  Karen always greeted everyone with a big smile and a bigger hug. She was a good person and I am happy to have known her.  May your faith and love help you all through this most difficult time.
