Margaret Elizabeth Hunkovic, 82, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022; beloved wife of 63 1/2 years to her loving husband, Stanley J. Hunkovic, Sr.; devoted mother of Stanley J. Hunkovic, Jr., Theresa Ostendorf and her husband, Emmett, Mary Anne Murray and her husband Todd, Patty Herzig and her husband, Frank, Peggy Smith and her husband, Paul, and Matt Hunkovic and his wife Kirsten;cherished grandmother of Gabriel and Anastasia Hunkovic, Ryan Ostendorf and his wife, Maria, Morgan Smith and her husband, Greg, Brady Ostendorf and his wife, LeeAnne, Ronan Ostendorf, Kaitlyn Ostendorf, Melissa Brethauer and her husband, Seth, Emily Lyons and her husband, Bobby, Abby Havinghurst and her husband, Paul, Andrew Murray, Megan Beardsley and her husband, Brent, Katie Fletcher and her husband, Brad, Lindsay Smith, and Nicholas Smith;loving sister of Mary Hathaway and her husband, Craig and sister-in-law to George and Sue Hunkovic. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Manning, her twin sister, Clara Basel and her husband, Joe, and her granddaughter Bailey Murray. Also survived by many loved 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W MacPhail Road, on Monday from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (Hickory). Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
