On March 3, 2016, Margie Ann Schafer; beloved wife of 50 years of Robert L. Schafer; devoted mother of Rob Schafer and wife Dawn, Traci Frey and husband Rick; loving grandmother of Tyler and Trevor Schafer, Ryan and Julia Frey; dear sister of Michael Schaefer and the late Robert Schaefer, Jr.; sister-in-law of Myrna MacSweyn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marge lived in Joppatowne for 45 years and spent the last 3 years in Milton DE. She worked for Harford County Public Schools as a school bus driver for 15 years and then spent 25 years as a realtor. Marge enjoyed boating and spending weekends in Rock Hall. Most of all, she adored children.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air MD 21014, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon, with a funeral service at 12 Noon. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial page which has been set up in the name of Marge Schafer with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
