Mary Mason

On December 12, 2021 Mary Mason passed away. She was the beloved mother of Diana Lynn Betley and her husband Michael; her son Craig Mason, cherished grandmother of six grandchildren (Scott, Rhianna, Samantha, Michael, Sarah, Ella) and two great-grandchildren (Hudson, Elias); dear sister of Anne Davis and her husband Russell, and Catherine Mallul and her husband Charles. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Eileen Benedict, her sister Frances Benedict, and her brother Joseph Benedict.

Mary had a long career in Accounts Payable with Pemberton Township Municipality in Pemberton, NJ, for over 26 years. She graduated from Pemberton Township High School in 1960. Her early adult years were lived as a military spouse in New York, Florida, Germany, and Colorado. She spent much of her retirement living with her sister Frances Benedict in the family home in Browns Mills, NJ before finally retiring to the Brightview Avondale Senior Living in Bel Air in 2019. Her hobbies included macrame, crocheting, reading, cooking, and volunteering at St Ann’s parish in Browns Mills, NJ. Her smile will leave an imprint in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Ann Church, 22 Trenton Rd. Browns Mills, NJ 08015, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to a local Catholic Charities and/or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a charity she supported for 30 years with her son Craig at https://mssociety.donordrive.com/participant/Admiral-Conehead-2022.
