Melda Christine Callender, born on July 19, 1951, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 74. She the beloved wife of Howard J. Callender; devoted mother of Daniel J. Tobin and his wife Laura; loving grandmother of Gregory Tobin, Brent Tobin, Daniel Tobin, Jr., Josh Bona, and Alex Bona; dear brother of the late Charles Parsons and his surviving spouse Cecilia Parsons, the late Virginia Parsons, the late Gladys Evans, and the late Clifford Parsons; also loved and survived by her half brothers & sisters, nephews, nieces and many other family & friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., located at 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm.
A committal service will be at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Road, Baltimore, MD 21220.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The Salvation Army.
