I ran into michael along time ago in an event, he was cheerfull and so enjoyable to talk to, i ran into his business card recently, and hard to find he is no longer with us. I sadden to hear, but my heart to his loves ones, i can do for him what he did best, in tv. 

To Mike's family: Michael Corkran, or "Corky" as he was known to those who worked with him, was one of the first people I met when I began working at Maryland Public Television many years ago. We ran into each other again during his tenure at WJZ.  He was excellent at lighting and camera work, a true professional and hard worker with a great sense of humor.  I am so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you.

I was among those shocked and devastated here on t.v. hill when we heard of Michael's death.  We've been sharing wonderful memories ever since.  He was so loved and appreciated. I was sad when he left but so happy for him because I knew he was headed into the life of travel and music and good food and family love he always wanted. I can tell from the photos he lived exactly the way he worked, with great joy and humor.  I know  your hearts are broken as are ours but memories are eternal. I will always treasure mine. I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing Vicki, as you know we only saw one another a few times the past several years, Rick's reunion at Michael's was the last time. To Mike's family: I knew Michael as a young man, he was charismatic,  energetic, funny, warn, but most impressive, he was such a good person. Honest, ethical, moral. My Mom adored him. I did as well. Seeing his photo as an older man, I see that he looks so much like his Dad. I am so happy that he found a loving wife and had beatiful sons to enrich his life.
