Ruben was an employee of E.J & E Railroad and retired from, Joliet Township High School.
Ruben will always be remembered as a remarkably loyal Cubs fan who was fortunate enough to see them win the World Series in 2016.
Ruben was preceded in death by his loving wife Donna (nee Eglin), his parents, Rueben and Hildur (nee Franzen) Larson, sisters, Rachel (William) Jackson, Audrey (Norman) Larsen, brother Charles (Dorothy) Larson.
Surviving are his daughter, Paula Ortiz of San Antonio, TX; son, Mark (Lisa) Larson of Bel Air, MD; sister-in-law Nola Phillips of Santa Rosa, CA; grandsons Michael (Samantha) Ortiz of San Antonio, TX, James Ortiz of San Antonio, TX, and Matthew Larson of Bel Air, MD; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
