I only met Sam briefly but he made a funny joke I will always remember. I pray for his family and friends may God send comfort that only he can bring, and dreams signs and wonders to let them know Sam is okay as I believe God definitely does. This life is a journey and a school for the soul and as Sam is reunited with our creator may his time on earth be celebrated, we are all blessed to have met a unique and special young man on our journey.  

Sammy, my sweet Sammy. I will cherish forever all of our memories. From the moment I held you in my arms when aunt dawn and uncle Steve brought you home, you became my little cousin that I would love forever and always. You will always remain in my heart Sammy.

I have known Sam since the very beginning of grade school. He was always one to make everyone laugh. Sam was always the class clown. I recently connected with Sam and nothing had changed. He was still the down to earth funny guy I remembered from school. My heart goes out to the family during this time. Prayers for all.

i’m sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. we grew up together. i knew him from second grade and on. he was always so nice. he always had a huge smile and his laugh was infectious. sam, you have been on my mind. sending love to the family and sam. may God bless your family with comfort during this time.

Very sad to hear of Sam’s passing. Sam was such a pleasurable young man when I coached him in basketball and baseball.  He was always positive, listened to advice, and gave it his all.  I was lucky enough to reconnect with him a few times recently and looked forward to seeing him at HC sporting events. His outlook on his situation was one of optimism and hope each time we spoke.  Our discussions were inspiring for me. I will truly miss seeing and talking with him.

One day when Sam was a boy, probably seven or eight years old, his Dad brought him to our office.  I clearly remember him as a bright and very polite young person.  He was also very curious about how things worked.  He would ask me questions, but always thanked me for explaining something to him.  Later, we had other occasions to interact with Sam, and those only reinforced the good qualities that I remembered.  I am saddened by his passing and send my condolences to Steve and Dawn and his brothers & sisters.
