On Friday, July 9, 2021 Shirley Mae Nesteruk (Schoeberlein) joined her husband (Nicholas Nesteruk) of sixty-nine years in heaven. Nicknames given to Mom were Shine and Sunshine which sums up her soul. Mom said that she was not afraid to die and had a good life. Her good life is thanks to each and every one who met or knew her. We would like to thank all who have been a part of mom's life. She appreciated all of you!
She was not only Mom to her son Nick and daughter Sandra and son in law John but to neighbor kids, cub scouts as den mother, girl scouts as leader and the stray cats that found their way to her yard. Working for the Baltimore City Police Department as a school crossing guard for twenty-five years she kept students safe.
She was grandmother to Amanda Zdanis-Usilton (husband Christopher) and Christopher Zdanis (wife Samantha) and Great Yiayia to Johnny, Scott, Summer, Brandon and Kyleigh. Mom had 6 brothers (David, Gerry, Pete, Bo, Howard, Johnny) and 1 sister (Margie) from that are two surviving brothers Bo with wife Eileen and Howard with wife Beverly. She has many nephews and nieces as well. Too many to list at this time.
Mom loved to garden, create flower arrangements, go camping, sing, craft, sketch, paint, cook, bake, go to the beach and spend lots of time with family.
No service will be held. Please consider making a donation in her name to the Senator Bob Hooper House, Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, 520 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Suite 405 Bel Air, MD 21014.
