The Staff and Residents of Brighton Gardens - Prairie Village wish to send their sincere condolences to Betty's family.  Luck you to have had her as your mother, grandmother...  Betty entertained residents in long term care communities for years and years bringing great joy to all who attended her programs.  Christmas particularly hasn't been the same to our "Santa" with out her playing, "Up on the Roof Top..."  Heaven is a little more musical and more energetic since she arrived.  Thoughts and Prayers.

Betty was a hoot. In 1972, I got married and the school decided I could not participate in pe. Betty went to bat for me but we failed. I loved her as a teacher, a friend, a mentor and a great roll model. Will see you later. Love much.

You were my Body Contouring teacher in 1984-85. Your class was my favorite. I will never forget the Footloose Soundtrack playing as we worked out. You inspired me to teach aerobics after graduation. You will be missed!

Betty was inspirational to me as a beginning teacher at Belton HS.  Always upbeat, involved with the students and a joy to be around. To the family, my condolences.

Elizabeth was a loving mother who always put others first. A kind and selfless person, she is sleeping peacefully.  Soon she could awaken to a new life during the promised resurrection (Jo 3:16).  Elizabeth will be surely be missed.  Andrew

She helped me and my family during a very hard time. I was injured my freshman year and switched to homeschooling to heal. She went above and beyond her duties. I am forever grateful. We lost a good one! Thinking of her wonderful family at this time.

She was an inspiration to so many.  The class of 65 was her first year of teaching, had 7 12 grades in one building.  We were her first class.  She was Miss Lucas at that time.  I would see her out and about over the years.  Always telling me to call her.  Her son Rob came with her dog to CV when mother was there.  She raised a fine young man.  To Cindy and family, she was the best.  Prayers

When I was struggling to run in PE class she ran beside me.  I had her in PE, women's health studies and body contouring.  I knew her after school as well and considered a friend.  If we ran into each other she always hugged me.  I'll miss you my friend.  Thanks for the memories and the laughs you always cracked me up.

She was my home school teacher when I moved to belton. I looked forward to her visiting.  She was more than a teacher to me. She was an amazing person and left lasting memories in my heart!

 The memories I have of Mrs. McHenry, I will hold dear to my heart.  She was great at getting us 80's Kids motivated.
 I had her for body conditioning, and I remember her giving me "the look" when I balked about running the stairs at the walnut building.  As much as I hated to run, I hated it more when she gave me that look.  Rest in heavenly peace sweet lady. you were LOVED and will be truly missed.

Mrs. McHenry  was the best teacher, and put up with a lot of stuff from the P.E. class of 75. I will always remember her laughter and wit,too.

Mrs. McHenry was one of my favorite teachers. She was a lovely person!

Condolences to Mrs. McHenry's family. She was a positive influence and role model for so many. Mrs. McHenry made a difference in the world.

She was one of my favorite teachers.  Such a great lady.  Always very good to me.  I will miss all her kindness.
