

Helen Irene Graham, 93, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Foxwood Springs Long Term Care Facility in Raymore, Missouri. Helen was born September 19, 1930, in Belton, MO, to Pauline and Frank Mosby. She was a graduate of Belton High School (Class of 1948) and a lifelong member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, Belton.
Helen began working for the Travelers Insurance Company out of High School as a clerk- typist. She continued with them for 40 years, retiring December 31, 1988. On May 7, 1960 she married the love of her life Bill (Willard) Graham. For over 40 years Helen and Bill along with Helen’s sister Frances traveled the country to visit family and friends. She loved the outdoors and hard work and made the world’s best homemade biscuits! Well into her 80’s you would find her mowing the yard with a push mower, shoveling snow, or tending to the family garden.
She was known as the sassy Aunt to all the generation of nephews and nieces! She loved life, was a kid a heart and had an endearing sense of humor. Her favorite activities always involved being on the floor with the younger kids or throwing water balloons or snowballs at any target of opportunity!
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Bill (2004) and sister Frances (2021). She is survived two nephews, David Mosby, (Dottie) of Raymore, and Douglas Mosby, (Karla) of St Louis: four grandnieces and two grandnephews and four great-grand nieces and eight great-grand nephews. In addition, she is survived by her three cousins Faye Wallace of Belton and her son Greg Wallace (Sherry) of Grinnell IA, Robert Powell (Pam) of Belton and their daughter Katie Powell of Los Angeles CA and Don Powell (Ed) of Manhattan NY.
Memorials in her honor may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church, 515 Markey Pkwy, Belton, MO 64012.
Services will be held at the Belton Crossroad United Methodist Church on Friday, January 26. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Belton Missouri Cemetery.
