

Ina Davis, born on January 19, 1933, died at her Belton home on December 17, 2016. Born in Offenbach on the Main, Germany, to Philipp and Magdalena Jäger, she grew up in Germany during World War II. As a teenager, she met Rodney Davis, who was with the USAF. The two married in September of 1950.
Together, they had four children and traveled the world with the Air Force, before retirement brought the family to Belton, Missouri. She enjoyed bowling, working in her yard, swimming, reading, traveling, and was always open to new adventures. In later years, she traveled Europe and the United States with her good friends, Günther and Liane, from Germany.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rodney, daughter Elaine, parents, and sister Heidi. She leaves behind sons Robert (Twila) Davis of Belton; Michael (Becky) Davis of Raymore, and Steven (Joy) Davis of Raymore; grandchildren Twila Ann, Jeffrey, Russell, Mary and Evalina (Sean); and great-grandchildren Michael, Sean and Alaina.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, at McGilley and George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton, MO 64012. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., with internment immediately following in Belton Cemetery. The family suggests donations in her name to the MS Society.
