John Estes Comstock, 85, of Belton, MO passed away May 29, 2016 at Belton Regional Hospital. Visitation 12-1 pm, funeral service 1:00 pm Friday, June 3 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton. Burial with military honors in Forest Hill Cemetery, 6901 Troost Ave, Kansas City MO. Contributions suggested to VFW Post 8220.
John was born in Kansas City, MO and a lifelong resident. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. John was a life member of the VFW Post 8220 of Belton. He was an entrepreneur, having multiple business in the Kansas City and Belton area prior to retiring.
Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Doris Comstock, parents John Comstock and Dorothy Donelson, two brothers Edward Comstock, MIA from the Korean War, and Lewis Donelson.
Survived by his children, two daughters Wanita and husband, Roger St. Peter and Tammy Pence and Robert Helmbrecht, son Randy Henson and wife, Venita; two sisters Sylvia Brown and Gwinaver Stoneking; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
