Kenneth “Dale’ Phillips, age 87, of Belton, Missouri went home to his Lord Friday, September 17, 2021 at Belton Regional Hospital. Dale was born to Irene Mildred Phillips and Clifford E Purinton, Jr. in Versailles, Missouri on September 16, 1934.
Dale graduated from Versailles High School in 1953. He joined the army in 1957 and continued in the Army Reserves for 10 years. He remained an avid and active Patriot to his country all of his life.
He was a passionate horseman from early childhood and had many talents of training and showing horses. He was a 5 times World Champion with his horses.
He married his lifelong sweetheart, Janice Nelson in 1958 and was blessed with 2 sons, Scott Phillips and Randal Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Phillips of 63 years and his 2 sons, Scott and Randal Phillips, with their wives, Anita Phillips and Sky Daye Phillips. He had 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
