Nancy Louise Brenizer

Nancy L. Brenizer, 79, of Belton, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, June 24, 2019, after being afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease for several years. Nancy passed peacefully, at home, with her family at her side.

Nancy was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of John F. and Edith E. (Hayward) Henehan.

Nancy graduated from Raytown High School, Class of 1957. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary and receptionist for Skelly Oil Company and Standart & O’Hern Inc. Advertising, in Kansas City, Missouri. Nancy modeled as an airline stewardess, for Standart & O’Hern Inc. Advertising, and the photo was used on an outdoor advertising billboard in downtown, Kansas City, Missouri.

In 1968, she met Roger L. Brenizer and they subsequently married. They celebrated 51 years of marriage in February.

Nancy was active as a homemaker, constantly caring for her family on a daily basis. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and the Head Room Mother of Hillcrest Elementary. She was also a member of the Cass County Republican Club.

In addition to her parents, a brother, John J. Henehan, predeceased her. Surviving in addition to her husband, Roger L. Brenizer, are her two sons, Matthew L. Brenizer and his wife, Maria, of Raymore, Missouri and Scott S, Brenizer and his wife, Michelle, of Belton, Missouri; a sister, Norma J. Henehan Mounkes, Belton, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Judith K. Brenizer Haas Broers and her husband Gene, of Wellsville, Kansas; three grandchildren, Benjamin Brenizer, Rebekah Brenizer and Charity Brenizer; one niece and six nephews.

Nancy always wore an affectionate smile on her face. God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around her, and whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes, we watched her suffer and gently fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. Her gentle heart stopped beating; her hands were laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

A private graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, in the Belton Cemetery.
