Ray Myers, 92, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on December 7th at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1928, to Arthur and Letha Myers near New Cambria, Missouri. Ray grew up in rural Missouri. He came to Kansas City as a young man to help support his family. Ray met the love of his life, Patricia, and they married in June 1951. Ray served in the Kansas National Guard, supporting the Kansas City Community during the Great Flood of 1951. He worked many years as a sheet metal worker, starting his own business, Myers Furnace Company in 1983. Ray was a master craftsman. He was a wonderful husband and father always providing the best home for his family. A strong man of values and faith, he contributed hours to his church. He is survived by Pat, devoted wife of 69 years, four daughters, Shelly, Denise, Cindy and Julie, two sons, Rob and Art, 21 grandchildren, 33+ great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sister Evelyn Green, brother-in-law, Dan Stanley and best friend, Dave Mowrey.
A mask mandated visitation will be held Monday, December 14th from 10AM-Noon at The Belton Christian Church with a private family funeral to follow. Internment in Belton Cemetery.
