

Robert Michael Erickson, age 24, of Belton, MO died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Research Medical Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Robert was born May 12, 1986. A 2004 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School, he participated in debate, theater and chamber choir. Robert was a Life Scout in Troop 245 and a Brave in the tribe of Mic-O-Say. Robert performed in Lee's Summit Community Theater and was a confirmed member of Lord of Love Lutheran Church of Belton; he was devoted to his family and cherished his many lifelong friends. Robert was fascinated by the world and found peace in nature. He loved animals, the outdoors, hiking, canoeing, singing and playing the guitar.
Robert is survived by his beloved, Krystine Plumbley of Belton, MO; brother, James Erickson of Belton, MO; parents, Michael and Cheryl Erickson of Manhattan, KS; paternal grandfather, Junnell Erickson of Mabel, MN; maternal grandmother, Sue Dovey of Albuquerque, NM; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Robert's final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 18 at Lord of Love Lutheran Church, 8306 E. 171st Belton, MO, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. Inurnment will be in Mabel Lutheran Cemetery Mabel, MN at a later date. The family requests donations be directed to PBS at KCPT 125 E. 31st St. Kansas City, MO 64108. Robert was strong, smart, fun and honest; he loved and was loved fiercely, he will be sorely missed.
