Russell Lynn Childress, 60, of Belton, Mo., passed away October 17, 2010, at Research Belton Hospital. A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton. Please dress casual. Contributions suggested to the Disabled Vets. Russell was born on Feb. 9, 1950, in Adrian, Mo., to Edward and Margaret Horne Childress. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Russell was a lifelong area resident. Survived by wife of 33 years, Adela Joaquin Childress of the home; sons, Rusty Childress, Belton, Eddie Childress, Belton, and Dennis Joaquin of Hawaii; daughters, Donna Mosley Lee's Summit, Mo., Lynn and husband Michael Bryant, Belton; brothers, Joe Childress, Grain Valley, Mo., Duane Childress of Mississippi and Mike Childress, Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Diane Kinnear, Marysville, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
