Alvin "Pete" G. Alderson

Alvin was born in 1936 in Botetourt County, VA to Earl and Hazel Alderson. He married Hazel M. Painter in 1957. Pete graduated from Virginia Tech in 1970 in Blacksburg, VA. He was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He retired from Florida Coca-Cola in Orlando, Florida and moved to Citrus County in 1999. Pete was a member of Crystal River First Baptist since April, 1999 where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Pete served as a Mission Service Corps volunteer for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel. They were married for 64 years; daughter, Amanda (Jason) Hadley and his grandson Christian. He is also survived by his brother John Alderson (Doris); sister-in-law Susan Jones (Michael). Nephews: Curtis Alderson, John Mark Alderson; niece Debra McClane and caregiver, Natalie Walters.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Crystal River on Thursday, July 14th. Viewing will be held at 10 AM and the service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor David Throckmorten officiating. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, 5891 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Fl 34465.
