Anthony “Tony” Altieri of Hernando,Florida passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Tony was born in Bridgeport, Ct to Arturo and Giovanna Altieri. He grew up in Bridgeport with his family including two siblings (Arthur Jr and Mary). At a young age he joined the Navy and honorably served in two tours of duty.
He is survived by his daughter, Marianne, son Stephen, sister Mary, grandsons Brian, Ian and Michael, great grandsons Anthony and Liam. He was preceded in death by his wife Stasia and brother Arthur.
Tony was an Assistant Finance Director for the Town of Fairfield in Fairfield, Ct before relocating to Florida. He spent his retirement years enjoying the Florida weather golfing, socializing with his many friends and playing music on his keyboard.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn cemetery at a future date to be announced.
