

Barbara De La Cruz was raised in Long Island, New York, and graduated from Manhasset High School in 1952. She was predeceased by her husband William De La Cruz, children, Lawrence J. Bennett, Jr., Lee Ann De La Cruz and Judith Williams, Grandchildren Robert V. Morea and Jennifer Lynn Bennett as well as siblings William Gumm, Helen Herring, and Stanley Gumm.
She is survived by siblings Katherine Daniels, David Gumm, daughters Katherine Kincer, and Kathy Williams sons Howard Bennett, Richard De La Cruz, William De La Cruz as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara De La Cruz owned and managed her business Professional Property Management and was the first woman president of the Citrus County Rotary Club.
Barbara was an accomplished artist in painting and ceramics where she worked with many local artists and won numerous awards for her work.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church and was a Eucharistic Minister bringing communion to congregants physically unable to attend mass.
Arrangements for her burial are being directed by Fero Funeral Home of Beverly Hills. In recognition of the pandemic, viewing and burial will be held for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org/give-today/) in her Memory.
