We celebrate the life of Eleanor Calcagni. A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister. Eleanor loved and cared about people as well as animals. She was always up for a good conversation. She rarely complained about an ache or pain. Eleanor and her husband Frank Calcagni (deceased) shared their life and career together traveling and training winning thoroughbred horses. They had so many fond memories and their horses won many, many races. Their stories will live on in our hearts. After the death of her husband in 1997, Eleanor found refuge on the property her and Frank purchased in 1973. She lived out her remaining years on “the hill” recounting over 50 years of beautiful memories with her beloved “Cal”, and making sure that all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren knew that they were loved. There are also countless squirrels, crows, rabbits and gopher turtles that will miss their daily feedings.
There will be a private memorial held with family. Please consider a donation in her name to your local animal shelter instead of flowers. She would have liked that.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ferofuneralhome.com for the Calcagni family.
