

Fredric Rollen Brockschmidt, born October 2, 1942, to Rollen Friederich Brockschmidt and Margaret Alice (Hilltrop) Brockschmidt at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois received orders to report to his final duty station of Heaven on August 10, 2021.
He attended to Alexian Brothers Nursing School in Chicago, Illinois. After graduation he worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Hammond, IN where he met a nurse named Beverly Stahl. Their 57-year love story started over an artificial kidney machine in 1964. Fred and Beverly married on August 14, 1965.
In 1965 Fred joined the U.S. Army where he would serve as an Officer and Nurse Anesthetist for the next 27 years. This military journey led him around the world in times of peace and war serving his country. Fred served in the Vietnam War with the 85th Evac Hospital in Phu Bai from 1970-1971. After retiring from the military, Fred and Bev moved to Greensboro, NC. They decided to relocate to Beverly Hills, FL in 2005 where they have lived for the last 16 years.
Fred is survived by the love of his life and wife of 56 year Beverly Brockschmidt, Daughter: Donna Brockschmidt of Homer, AK (Grandchildren: Brandt Brockschmidt-Apiki, Traven Apiki, Rhett Apiki and Amber Gilbreath), Daughter: Cathy Rosentreter of Rawlins, WY (Husband: Kyle, Grandchildren: Chris Thurmon and Jessica Thurmon; Great Granddaughter: Adi Thurmon), Daughter: Margi Furey of Lakewood Ranch, FL (Husband: Matt; Granddaughter: Shannon Furey) and Son: Brian Fredric Rollen Brockschmidt of Las Vegas, NV (Wife: Tammie; Granddaughter: Erika Greene (James), Great Grandchildren: Harrison and Kuiper), and his sister Susan Hall of New Mexico.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and Great Grandson, Evander Thurmon.
Funeral services will be held at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 North Lecanto Highway; Beverly Hills, FL 34465 on Tuesday August 17, 2021, 10am – 12:30pm. Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL immediately following service at Fero Funeral Home.
