Gena Alet Pitti, 62, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on Sun., Jan. 11, 2026, at Shands Hospital at UF in Gainesville, FL. A native of Logan, OH, she was born Feb. 24, 1963, to John and Mary (Brown) McKenzie, one of six children. Gena had lived in Citrus County for 30 years and in addition to being a lifelong homemaker, she worked alongside her husband, Anthony Pitti, in their family business of T & G Construction in Citrus County. Gena loved taking care of her family and friends. That was her purpose in life. A perfect day for her would include family reunions and getting to spend as much time as possible with family members building memories. Mrs. Pitti was preceded in death by a sister, Teasa Adams. In addition to her parents, John and Mary McKenzie of Inverness, Gena is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Pitti; daughter Nicole Pitti, and son Benjamin Shipman (wife Amy); all of Beverly Hills, FL and her siblings; Jay McKenzie (wife Brenda), Tonya McKenzie, and Michael McKenzie, all of Inverness, FL, and Tammy Lovett, Tampa, FL. Friends will be received on Sat., Jan. 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Wayne Pratt of First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills officiating. Interment will follow in Fero Memorial Gardens.
