Jackie is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, whom he married in December 1959, creating a beautiful life and family together. He is also survived by his daughter, Marlene Skiver, and his son-in-law, Rob Skiver. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his grandsons, Harrison (Sarah) and Hayden Skiver, who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Clay, and his father, Daniel Stewart.
Jackie loved life's simple pleasures - traveling, fishing with his grandsons, golfing and Nascar were some of his favored recreational activities. His favorite pastime was going on travel adventures with his wife Jeanette. Their journeys took them through 49 of the 50 states, Canada, Costa Rica and the Bahamas.
They spent many days together exploring the Blue Ridge mountains and the beaches of North Carolina and Florida.
