Leslie R. Leavitt, 85, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away January 10, 2023 in Lecanto. He was born December 22, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to David and Fleurette Leavitt. Les had a successful career for many years in wholesale and retail tire sales. As a longtime and much valued member of Congregation Beth Sholom of Beverly Hills, he was extremely community-minded and volunteered at the Citrus County Sheriff's Office surveillance unit and Citrus Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, gardening, singing, musical theater, and (in his younger years) square dancing.
Les was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sonya, in 2015. Survivors include his nieces, Francine Garson, Iris Kabert, and Sherri Kazanchian and their children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Fero Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fero Funeral Home.
