Peggy was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Groton, Mass., to the late Joseph and Margaret McCann.
Peggy grew up in Massachusetts. She moved to Crystal River with her husband, Clifford, in 1959. Together they owned and operated "The Oyster Bar" restaurant in Crystal River for many years.
Peggy was a Girl Scout leader. She was active in the Crystal River Pilot Club, and an active member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal River. She and Cliff were charter members of Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clifford Luce. She leaves behind daughter Candice Luce, granddaughter Carly Zervis, brothers Danny (Nancy) McCann and Frank McCann, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Peggy will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in the Bethel Chapel at Crystal River United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus County.
