

Peter T. Piazza, 66 of Citrus Springs, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, June 1, 1946 to Peter and Mary (Deroma) Piazza. Peter was a retired superintendent with the New York City Sanitation Department. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict and served with the U.S. Army. Peter was a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, participated in the Men's Club and was a 4th degree Knight. He was an avid Yankee's fan, volunteered at the Ted William's Museum, mentored at Citrus Springs Elementary School, was a volunteer with the Citrus Springs Surveillance Unit and coached little league and football.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Vincent Piazza and grandson, Jason Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Piazza of Citrus Springs, Florida; son, Peter Mark Piazza and wife Jennie of Connecticut; daughter, Felice Smith and husband Rob of New York; sister, Virginia Divico of New York; grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Colton Smith, Elias Piazza and Natalia Piazza and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home. Funeral Mass on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
