Remedios "Reme" B. Buaron M.D.

Remedios Buhat Buaron, M.D., 84, passed on Friday, July 3, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. Lecanto, on Fri. July 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, at 1:00 P.M.. Reme, who was born in Batangas, Philippines and moved permanently to the U.S. in 1969, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Esteban G. Buhat and Encarnacion G. Buhat. She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, a loving husband of 58 years Rafael, her brothers and sister; Leonido Buhat (Priscilla), Ellen Chiang (Oscar) and Romulo Buhat (Teresita), children; Rafael Jr (Tracy), Jeffrey (Kathleen) and Joe (Arlene), and 4 grandchildren; Matthew, Amanda, Caroline and Averie. Reme received her medical degree from Manila Central University College of Medicine and interned at Yonkers General Hospital, NY. She had a distinguished medical career, including being a Chief Resident, helping care for patients in both the Philippines and the U.S. She retired in 1996 and moved to Citrus Hills, FL in 1998. She enjoyed her life, often hosting parties and gatherings for family and friends to celebrate life’s moments. Her biggest strength was her faith in the Lord. Regardless of her multiple health problems or where she was living, she was always an active member of her church. Most recently, the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto is where she worshiped, sang in the choir and participated in prayer groups and bible studies. She often expressed her faith through her writing. She was an avid writer, including poetry. She used her writing to encourage others; writing letters of prayers and faith to those in her congregation who were in need.
