Samuel Tallant “Sam” Raymond, 79, of Citrus Springs, passed away on Wed., March 11, 2015 under the loving care of his niece, Jacqueline Bilodeau and sister-in-law Annette Grenier, with Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. A native of Pelham, NH, he was born on Sept. 27, 1935 to Lorin and Helen (Tallant) Raymond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ballard Raymond, and half brother Lorin Raymond, Jr. Mr. Raymond retired from Maynard and Lessieur Tire, Inc. of Nashua, NH and moved to Citrus Springs in 1998. He was an avid and expert horseshoe pitcher, having won many tournaments in many states. Sam served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Alaska, and is survived also by many other nieces and nephews and his longtime horseshoe buddy John Clark, as well as his in-laws and extended family on his late wife Lucille’s side.
