Tomas was born in Caracas, Venezuela November 28, 1943. He obtained his degree in Economics at the Central University of Venezuela. He was an economist, a motivational speaker in the banking industry in Venezuela and a self-employed businessman. He spent seven years in Canada and loved the change of seasons, and yes, snow. He was most proud of his three children and becoming a U.S. Citizen.
As a young man Tomas enjoyed boating and going to the beach in Venezuela and playing dominoes. He wanted to learn how to fly, but instead assisted his brother Temar to become a pilot.
Tomas loved to travel, shop, putter in the yard and walk our beagle, Cash while sharing his witty humor with the neighbors. But perhaps, he was happiest spending time with his wife and children. A close second was savoring a delicious meal, such as seafood pasta, paella or calamares ‘en su tinta’ with family, friends, or in a distant country. He also fancied sweets and his nightly bowl of ice cream (half of which went to dog).
Tomas B. Osio is survived by his wife, Dr. Sandra L. Brown; his son, Bernardo B. Osio and his wife Elizabeth Blake; son, Lennart B. Osio; his daughter, Cassandra I. Osio and her ex-husband Rolando Martin; ex-wife Mery Bastiste; brother Fernando Gamez; sister, Luisa Vega; nieces and nephews.

Tomas B. Osio was very much loved by his wife, his three children, his family and friends. He is remembered as a kind, caring, strong, intelligent, “handsome” man who dressed well, always wore cologne and loved his red shoes. He was always helping others, and was thankful and appreciative of whatever came along in life. May he be at peace with the yellow butterflies and the angels.
