Allea M. Grimes age 40, of Bessemer, Alabama passed away on March 16, 2023. Allea was born on June 12, 1982 in Houston, TX to Lisa A. and Carl R. Wright.
Allea, affectionately known as Lea, graduated from West Jefferson Christian Academy and completed a Paramedic program at Bevill State Community College. Lea loved animals and the great outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. She amassed a vast knowledge of plants, animals, trees, and insects and loved to share it with others! Lea loved her family and friends dearly and she will be greatly missed.
Lea is preceded in death by her husband, Danny R. Grimes; grandparents, Catherine L. and Monroe Wright and Ann Johnson; and father-in-law, Curtis Grimes.
Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Joan and Carl Wright of Pell City, AL; mother, Lisa A. Grinfield (Jimmy) Sipsey, AL; son, Hayden R. Grimes of Alabaster, AL; brother, Carl M. Wright of Athens, AL; sisters, Amber M. Copeland (Jonathan) of Reston, VA and Ashely M. Wright of Vestavia Hills, AL; mother-in-law, Carmel Grimes of Alabaster, AL; brother-in-law, Chris Grimes (Gisselle) of Ohio and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life visitation for Lea will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice in honor of Lea’s memory.
