
Annie Laurie Deason Langston, born October 16, 1913 and known to all as Nana, went home to be with our Lord on September 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Langston and her beloved daughter, Joanne Langston Parks. She is survived by her loving son, Joe A. Langston (Janice) and her son-in-law, Larry Parks, as well as 5 grandchildren. Laurie McCain (Kyle), Vicki Tittle (Earl), Chris Parks (Elizabeth), Lacey Clark (Stephen) and Andy Langston; and nine great grandchildren, Wayne (Elizabeth), Andrew and Mallie McCain, Meredith, Melanie, and Mason Tittle, and Christian, Anna Katherine, and Allie Clark- all of whom were so very dear to her heart. She is also survived by 2 special nieces, Sherry Sampson and Vicki Little and many other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to especially thank Margaret Dawson who faithfully loved and cared for Nana over the past year. Nana was a lifetime resident of the Bessemer and Birmingham areas and was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. She spent her life serving others in anyway that she knew of a need and all who knew her loved her gentle God-loving spirit. Family graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery.
