

Autry L. Wade, Jr., age 84 of Locust Fork, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mr. Wade served his country proudly and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired with more than 42 years of service as an electronic technician with Electronic Engineers. He was a longtime faithful member of Locust Fork Baptist Church and Brewster Road Baptist Church (10th Avenue Baptist) where he served as a deacon and many other capacities. He enjoyed going on church mission trips to work on the needs of other churches all over the country, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Autry L. Wade, Sr. and Lurlene Wade; a sister, Kalenna Ann Wade; and his granddaughter, Rebecca Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary C. Wade; a son, Michael Wade (Yolonda); his daughter, Dawn Wade Hunt (Robbie); grandchildren, Andrew Wade (Jamie), Luke Wade (Madison), Noah Wade, Randall Hunt, and Rachel Hunt; great grandchild, Kendall Wade.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 9th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5 pm to 8 pm followed by chapel services on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries, 2681 Rocky Ridge Lane, Birmingham, Al 35216, (205) 945-0037.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank his caregivers for their loving care during this difficult time: Jeanene Aldredge, Jimmy and Lisa Hathcock, Elyssia Hathcock, Mary Duarte, and Joanna Carroll. Pallbearers will be Michael Wade, Robbie Hunt, Randall Hunt, Luke Wade, Noah Wade, and Andrew Wade.
