Barbara Jean Terry

Barbara Jean Terry passed away peacefully on February 09, 2023, at the age of 84. Barbara was born on January 31, 1939 in Seattle, WA to James and Helen Ball. She later lived in California and then in Decatur, AL. At Decatur High School, she met the love of her life, Joseph Daniel (Dan) Terry Sr.. They were married on September 2, 1958. Barbara worked to put Dan through college. Later they lived in Huntsville then Mountain Brook, AL. While in Mountain Brook, Barbara and Dan raised two daughters and a son. Once they were empty nesters, Barbara and Dan loved traveling with Knoxville Tours, taking care of their pets, and spending time together. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Ball, and her sister Betty Stanton. Barbara leaves behind her husband, Joseph Daniel Terry Sr. her three children Brenda Harris, Linda Rummell, and Joseph Daniel (Joe Dan) Terry Jr., and her four grandchildren Mackenzie Rummell, Mason Rummell, Robert Rummell, and Michael Harris. A graveside service for Barbara will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Forest Crest Cemetery, 5730 US 78, Birmingham, AL 35210.
