

Belinda Gail Childs Williams Brent was born on November 17, 1948 to the late Jerome Norman and Constance Childs in Brooklyn, New York. She was the oldest of 7 children Philip, Abron, and Curtis (who have preceded her in death). Nathan and Renee Ingram. Missionary Brent has 5 children. Three daughters, Arlenee (Proceeded In Death), Aukima, Kenisha and two sons Anthony and Jason. Belinda had a strong will and a unwavering faith in God. She gave her life to Christ in her early twenties under the leadership of Bishop Ida Robinson at The Move Of God Cathedral, where she served faithfully on the usher board, the choir, hospitality board and flower board. She was forever and always standing in the gap ready and willing to serve wherever and whenever she was needed. She then joined The New Move Of God Pentecostal church under the direction of Overseer Margie Cole-Kendley. Upon reconnecting and marrying the love of her life, Deacon Tony Brent (who proceeded in death) they were married 13 years. After moving to Birmingham, Alabama, she gained new friends and a loving church family at Abundant Harvest Church, under the leadership of Overseer Pisani B. Standfield where she was ordained as a missionary. She has several spiritual children and god children: Baby Girl Latresha Steele Tracey Mc Cann and LaPerrian Sparks. She was always a faithful and diligent solider for Christ. Belinda was educated in the New York City public school system. She graduated from Mercy College in New Rochelle with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She actually was a few credits shy of receiving her Master’s Degree in social work. Belinda was Employed for many years with the NYC Administration of Child Services as a Social Worker. Missionary Brent was a firm believer of No matter how you feel or what you’re going through you should always “Praise your way out of it”. She was known for her unique way of nurturing. She always told you things how they really were. “A little bitty lady with a big punch.” She always knew what to tell you, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Belinda had a unique personality. Missionary Brent was a strong individual who endured many hardships and came out on top. She was a kind caring woman always willing to help. She always gave her last and all to help a person in need. She might have been perceived as being a harsh person but it was always with love and concern for the person.
