Haley, Betty Wingard, age 78 of Birmingham, AL formerly of Hanover, AL. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and always put her family first. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Y Z Abernathy; daughter, Rita Wingard; brothers, Robert Abernathy and Drexel Abernathy; sister, Margaret Nell Cleveland. Betty is survived by 4 sons, Rex Wingard and his partner, Robert Kratcoski, Brett and Stephanie Wingard, Zane and Sue Wingard and Clay and Aimee Wingard; grandchildren, Colby Wingard, Karsten Wingard, Camp Wingard, Sally Wingard, Blake Wingard, Drake Wingard, Rhett Wingard, Wade Wingard and Kent Wingard. Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be Monday, June 17, 2013 at 3 PM at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hanover, AL.
