Carolyn D. Arthur, age 81 of Hoover passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021. She was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and a graduate of the University of Alabama. Carolyn loved her pets, Alabama Football and Crocheting. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charlie in 2020. Survivors include her daughter, Elise A. Johnson (Michael); her son, Chuck Arthur; grandchildren: Makayla Poston (Jordan) and Meaghan Dollar (Wade). Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society, National Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association. Her favorite passage of scripture is Psalms 91:11; "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."
