Carolyn M. Austin of Birmingham, AL was born in Bibb County on March 22, 1931 and passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2019 at the age of 88. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Her family was her pride and joy and she always loved doing things for them. Carolyn was a longtime member (1968) of South Roebuck Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Ray Austin; parents, John and Ila Mae Morse; two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her two sons, Clark Austin and Mark Austin (Debbie); grandchildren, Julia Blackwell (Michael) and Robbie Austin; great grandchildren, Avary Lumpkin, Audrey Flinn, and Jasen Flinn; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with chapel services at 2 PM and visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL.
