Carolyn Faye Johnson

Carolyn Faye Johnson of Trussville, Alabama passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the age of 81. Faye had a true love of floral designing that combined a career of more than 35 years. She was well known for her talent and worked for several florists in east Jefferson County and surrounding areas later winning the Designer of the Year Award 1988 - 1989. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pearlie May; brothers, Floyd May, Clarence May, Roland May, and Edward May; her sisters, Wanda Upton and Doris Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Mike Johnson (Martha), Chris May, and Sharon Johnson; grandchildren, Jacob Johnson and Jessica Johnson; a sister, Mary Kilgore; sister-in-law, Sue May; her companion, Ray Lucas; wonderful friend whom she loved as her sister, Nettie Hood; a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and lastly Faye's beloved furry baby, "Puddin"!

Services will be held on Saturday, November 14th, at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with visitation beginning at 10 AM and funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery off Highway 79 in Pinson, Alabama. The family would like to especially thank everyone for their prayers and concerns during Faye's illness and extend a special thank you to Kris Caldwell with Kindred Hospice, Alisha and Terra Underhill, Kathleen and Rick Kirkpatrick, Pam and Robert Glass, Chris Harrison, Chris Page, Carlene Jones, Joan Martin, Frances and Marshall Hood, and Rose Lake for all they did when we needed you most. Rev. Billy Patterson will officiate services.
