Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on June 12, 1939 to the late Howard A. Beebe and Patricia (Hartwell) Beebe. Raised in Southbridge, Massachusetts by her uncle and aunt Freeman and Cakoo Spaulding. Graduated from Mary Wells High School, class of 1956. Attended the University of Massachusetts. Married to G. Fred Slaney in Taunton, Massachusetts on May 8, 1960. Survived by her husband Fred; daughter, Dawn B. Hill (Mike) of Trussville, AL; sons, Jacob H. Slaney (Ila) of Atlanta, GA and Amir Emamian (Laura) of Austin, TX; grandchildren Jonathan Slaney, Stephani Slaney, Jeremy Hill, Evan Hill, and Catherine (Cate) Hill, and Amir, Neghin, and Shereen Emamian. She was actively involved in Aromaz-Dynasty # 163 Daughters of the Nile, serving as Queen. Her hobbies included knitting, reading mystery novels, and raising money for the Shriners Hospitals. She also loved to travel. Visitation Friday, July 6 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5-7 pm. Service Saturday, July 7 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 10 am. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
