Charlotte Jackson

JACKSON, CHARLOTTE TATE Charlotte Tate Jackson passed away on August 5, 2011. She is survived by her son, Jason Brooke Jackson (Esther) of Orange Beach, AL, her daughter Meredith Jackson DeFore (Michael) of Birmingham, AL, and her five loving grandchildren: Jay and McDuffie Jackson and Mary Tate, Rachel, and Kevin DeFore. She was an active member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church for over forty years and was involved in Circle 2 and the Genesis Sunday School Class. She graduated from Birmingham Southern College. She taught in public schools for thirty-four years and was active in several honorary groups. She dearly loved her children, her grandchildren, and the many children whose lives she touched throughout her career. She was also an active member of Cahawba Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. May God love the family and friends that she left behind. Visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations sent to the American Cancer Society or Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Children's Library.
