David O Parsons

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Parsons and his brother, Paul Parsons. David is survived by his wife, Sharon Parsons; son, Aaron Parsons (Veronica); daughter, Mary Parsons; 3 grandchildren, Jamar and Dedrick Kennard and Cameron Bellinger; brother, Frank Parsons (Mary) and a number of nieces and nephews.

David loved playing the guitar and the bass and enjoyed playing and singing in several local bands including Tight Shoes. David was a huge Rolling Stones fan and attended many of their concerts. He loved camping and traveling with his family, arrowhead hunting, gardening, and building cigar box guitars. He studied history especially Civil War battles. He was an Alabama “Roll Tide” football fan! Above all, David loved God and his family!

Funeral service will be Tuesday September 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel, Mike West officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. Ridout's Trussville Chapel is at 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. Donations may be made to David’s favorite charity, St Jude Children’s Hospital.
