Doris Lee Davis, age 99, formerly of Vestavia Hills, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025—just one day after celebrating her 99th birthday. Her long and beautiful life was marked by grace, devotion, and quiet strength.
Born to Velma and B.C. Lee, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Charles Davis, her cherished son Glenn Lee Davis, and her loving parents. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and service.
Doris was a proud alumna of West End High School and the University of Montevallo. She pursued a career in Medical Technology, training at UAB when it was still known as Jefferson Hospital. Her professional journey led her to serve with dedication at Simon-Williamson Clinic and Southern Internists, where she was respected for her skill and compassion.
A devoted member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Doris found joy and purpose in her faith community. Her life was a testament to quiet generosity, steadfast love, and enduring faith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeshore Senior Center and Amedisys Hospice for providing a loving and safe environment for Doris during her stay there.
Doris will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, humor, and sassiness, but most importantly for her unwavering love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
