Dorothy "Dot" Alice (Bonner) Hawkins, age 88, of Auburn, Al. passed away on Jan. 25, 2022. Dot was born in Jefferson County, AL. on Dec. 20, 1933, to the late Arnold Clint and Alice Amelia Newberry Bonner. She graduated from Hewitt Trussville in 1952 and Sheffield School of Interior Design in 1989. Dot had very successful careers as a Cosmetologist, Realtor, and Interior Design Consultant.
Dot is preceded in death by her husband, Joe David Hawkins, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bud" Ledbetter; children, Michael David Hawkins (Dotty), and John Scott Hawkins (Michael), Lynn, Joe (Pat) Bill (Beverly) and Melinda Ledbetter; grandsons, Aaron Michael Hawkins (Melissa) and Ian Michael Hawkins; and great-grandchildren, Georgia, Reagan, and Paul Hawkins. Dot was laid to rest in a private graveside service on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Trussville Memorial Cemetery.
