Dorothy Garrett Patton age 88 of Kennesaw, GA passed away February 26, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Alabama, born in Birmingham. A graduate of Birmingham Southern College, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of Opportunity Class at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Mrs. Patton was a former resident of Galleria Woods Retirement Community prior to moving to Kennesaw, GA in 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James O. Patton, Jr. She is survived by her sons, William James Patton of Phoenix, AZ and David Garrett Patton (Karen) of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Garrett Patton of Brooklyn, NY, Rachel Patton of New Orleans, LA, Kathryn Herron Fouse (Jared) , Alex Herron, and Jonathan Herron (Eileen), all of Atlanta, GA; great grandson, Jasper Fouse of Atlanta, GA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 followed by the service at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Bluff Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Reid Crotty officiating. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
