She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Lee Pitts; her sons, Jerry Pitts, Charles Pitts, and Don Pitts; her daughter, Sandra L. Walden; her son-in-law, Jack Walden; and her great-granddaughter, Elyse Reeves.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Love of Moody, Alabama; her daughters-in-law, Sheila Pitts and Sherry Pitts; and her cherished grandchildren: Jennifer Browne (Patrick), Caroline Nicole Love, Michael Walden (Ashley), Lee Ann Walden, Patrick Walden, Jamie Pitts, Todd Pitts (Melanie), Shana Hill (Shannon), Kim Smith, and Melissa Pitts. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy of her life.
Fay loved her Leisure Club activities and was an active participant in the Senior Olympics for 25 years. She was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan, enjoyed piddling in her yard, and most of all, loved being involved in every aspect of her grandchildren’s lives. She loved her family tirelessly and lived a full and wonderful life as the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our beloved “Mom,” “Mama Fay,” “Grandmother,” “MawMaw,” “GG,” “Great Granny,” “Ms. Pitts,” and “Grandma” will be deeply missed. While our hearts grieve her loss, we rejoice knowing she entered the arms of Jesus and heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
A special thank you to Lee Ann Walden for the loving care of her Grandmother over the past year. Also, Sandy Peoples and Kristen Maddox of Care for Me for their excellent and loving care of my dear Mama.
